Q: Is Mt Carlyle Lodge situated in a prime Backcountry/Mountain Location?
F: Yes, our Backcountry Lodge is perched high at tree-line in a remote location. Right from the Lodge there's spectacular views of an endless array of summits and ice fields. Our Lodge site also has great sun exposure and enjoys exceptional mountain sunrises at daybreak and sunsets.
Q: What are your Lodge facilities like?
F: Our Philosophy is: We believe in keeping certain things simple so you/we don't loose the backcountry feel, comfort where it counts and style to a point, but it's still ok to walk into the lodge with your ski/snow board boots on if needed. Our Lodge offers a separate mudroom for boots and some gear, inside the lodge there's ample space to hang and store all gear, 2 propane heating stoves in separate locations so there's lots of room to dry things out, 2 indoor cool food storages and one large easily accessible exterior frozen goods storage cupboard. The kitchen is spacious and very functional with a great selection of condiments for all your cooking needs. Our dining area facilitates 10 comfortably and there's also a separate spacious relaxation area. There is a separate large washroom for personal hygiene which includes a pee toilet, so you do not have to go out in the middle of the night or when there's storm raging. There is a large outside deck for you to enjoy a barbeque or the last evening light with a brew. To keep you healthy, happy and logging vertical, are facilities are cleaned on a regular basis while your there.

F: Yes, there is running water with a second backup flow system, incase this fails, there is a 3rd backup system which consists of a collection house with a trap door that covers the water collection spot, 10 meters from the lodge. All you need to do is open the trap door, drop our 5 gallon containers to a hose to fill and carry these less then half a minute back to the lodge.
